Butterfly School Presentation

Want something unique, fun, and fresh for your class?  Let me come to your school and wow your students with a hands-on presentation of the lifecycle stage of the butterfly; as well as other interesting butterfly facts! 

 The class will begin with describing the lifecycle stages of the butterfly; with each stage being passed around for a close up and personal view.  The presentation will include all four stages.

-         The egg

-         Caterpillar

-         Larva/pupa

-         Adult Butterfly

These would be presented and talked about.  Different kinds of butterflies will also be presented, discussed and passed around for a hands-on experience that will not soon be forgotten!  Kids of all ages will love this!

 When available, a small butterfly release (up to10) will be arranged after the presentation.

The cost is $100 and includes a butterfly kit of 2-3 caterpillars and enough host plant food for your class to raise into butterflies on their own.  If your school is not able to afford this class, please click on the sponsor list button below.  For those of you who can, you may want to consider sponsoring another school.  The presentation is structured to last a full class period (up to 60 minutes).

Garden Club Presentation

This presentation begins with a brief description of the lifecycle of the butterfly. 

A 30 minute slide show presentation called "Butterflies of your own; raising butterflies for your yard" and a special demonstration on how to raise butterflies. 

Examples of all stages of the butterfly will be displayed including several host plants.  You may actually witness the changing of life cycles (caterpillar to chrysalis or chrysalis to butterfly).

The cost is $125 and Butterfly chrysalises in decorative pots will be available for purchase at a special discounted rate.
